Funeral services for Charles McKinney along with Masonic Rites will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City. Rev. Danny Ringer will officiate. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Elk City on Monday, September 8, 2014. Services are under the direction of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the Clinton Veterans Home in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644.
Charles Bert McKinney, 88, of Leedey was born on May 2, 1926. He is the son of O.D. And Mary Frances (Dial) McKinney. Bert died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Norman.
Bert is reunited with his true love, Catherine Georgene Cobb. She preceded him in death on November 24, 1990. Bert is a Navy veteran of World War II, served on the Dewey County Sheriff's Department and a member of the Elk City Masonic Lodge. He had three children, seven grandchildren and a lot of good friends.
