Bea Lacey Lovett was born December 31, 1921 in Hammon,
Oklahoma to Cecil and Violet Lacey. She passed away March 29, 2011 at Hot
Springs, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 28 days.
She was married to Henry Lovett at Canute, Oklahoma on September 27, 1939. They
spent most of their farming and ranching in western Oklahoma. She pulled cotton,
milked cows, helped with the farming, had a peach orchard, and still had time to
rear three children. When she was 40 years old she went to beauty school and
then worked at that job for several years. She was living with daughter, Vinolla,
at the time of her death. She loved her extended family, kids, dogs, race horses
and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lois Jewell, a brother,
Elmer Lacey, grandson, Mark Chenault, great grandson, Matt Grimes and in 1975,
her husband of thirty six years, Henry Ray Lovett.
She lived another thirty six years after Henry's death.
She is survived by her daughter, Vinolla Chenault of Hot Springs, AR; sons, Ray
Lovett and Helen, Mena, AR, Bob Lovett, Elk City, Oklahoma; sisters, Etoy and
Joyce of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Jessie of Fort Lauderdale, FL; 6 grandchildren,
Venee, Michael, Dena, Gwena, Sharay, and Wayna; 3 step-grandchildren, Brenda,
Gwen and Troy; 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Whinery-Savage Chapel
officiated by Lonnie Forester. Burial was at Fairlawn Cemetery under the
direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service
