Howard Wayne Lee was born September 19, 1935 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to
Eva and H. N. Lee. He passed away at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 78
Years, 7 Months, and 5 Days.
Howard grew up in Ninnekah and Amber, Oklahoma. He was married to Rose
Deon (Odom) Lee at Chickasha, Oklahoma on July 1, 1955. He began working
for the Chickasha Cotton Oil Mill as a sheet metal fabricator. They
moved to Elk City in 1963 and Howard continued working on gins until
1980. He worked for Miraglio Oilfield
Services before working at Elk City Lumber. Howard was working for Glo
Valve at the time his health began to fail. He had been a member of the
Jaycee's, the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner's Clown organization. He and
Rose enjoyed square dancing and were members of the local club. Howard
was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's Research
or the American Cancer Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Lori Strobel, 2
brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Rose, 2 sons, Brian Lee, Elk City, OK, Terry
Lee, Elk City, OK; 2 sisters, June Glass, Chickasha, OK, Joy Hunter and
husband, Curley, Chickasha, OK; 2 brothers, Kenny Lee and wife,
Marjorie, Ninnekah, OK, Ronnie Lee, Cement, OK; 2 granddaughters, Nicole
Janning and husband, Patrick, Canute, OK, Deon Garrett and husband,
Nick, Elk City, OK; 3 grandsons, Chris Lee and wife, Jesica, Carter, OK,
T. J. Lee, Gilmer, TX, Leathern Spitz, Canute, OK; 7 great
grandchildren, Aaron and Tyler Janning, Katch and Karsee Garrett, Ethan,
Lori and Colton Lee, and a host of other relatives and friends.
