Cindy Leavitt was born June 9, 1956 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Betty Jean and Walter Guthrie. She passed away April 7, 2015 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 28 days.

Cindy grew up in Elk City and attended Elk City schools until her senior year, when she moved with her aunt in Tulsa graduating in 1974 from Tulsa High School. She furthered her education at Rolla, Missouri for a couple of years before she was married to Morgan D. Leavitt at Wheeler, Texas on December 3, 1979. After their marriage, they made Elk City their home. In 1989 Cindy obtained her real estate license and was employed with Western Oklahoma Realty. Cindy began attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University and received her masters degree in psychology in May of 2001. After receiving her degree she moved to Mangum, Oklahoma where worked for Youth and Family Services before returning to Elk City.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Guthrie, biological father, James Allin Holt, brother, Dale Guthrie, an infant brother, grandparents, Elva and Edward Bilderback, Allin and Ilee Holt.

She is survived by her daughter, Courtney LeGrand and husband, Brian, Elk City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Mychaela LeGrand, Andrea LeGrand, Angel LeGrand, and Kasen LeGrand, all of Elk City, OK; father, Walter Guthrie, Clinton, OK; 2 brothers, Michael Guthrie, Oklahoma City, OK, Allin Holt, Jr, Madill, OK; nephew, Lucious Guthrie, Elk City, OK; 2 nieces, Lacey Guthrie, Elk City, OK and Shannan Kelso, Sayre, OK; aunts and uncles, Nancy Kabriel, Edmond, OK, Kenny and Reba Insellmann, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Ronnie and Darla Stout, Elk City, OK, Sue Linsenmeyer, Clinton, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
