Funeral services for Everett
Daugherty were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday
in the United Methodist Church, Elk City,
Oklahoma. Mr. Daugherty died
January 1, 1992 in Oklahoma City at the age
of 66.
Everett Eugene Daugherty was born November
16, 1926 in the Merritt
Community in Oklahoma. He was the son of
Robert Lee and Edna Busby
Daugherty. He had lived in western Oklahoma
all his life where he
was a farmer and rancher.
Everett married Anna Preston on May 30,
1948, and she preceded him in
death on July 21, 1981.
He later married Evelyn "Smokey" Moore. He
was a member of the United
Methodist Church, an active member of the
Fiddlers Association. He
and his wife, Smokey, played weekly at the
Senior Citizens Dance in
Sayre, Oklahoma. He was a member of the
Masonic Lodge and the Shriners
and was a past member of Board of Directors
for RECAP.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn "Smokey",
of Elk City; his son,
Kevin, of Oklahoma City; his daughters,
Vicki of Elk City and Sherri
Daugherty-Ebert; two brothers Oliver of
Cheyenne and Robert of Amarillo,
Texas; one sister, Mary Fowler, of Elk City
and a special friend Tina.
He was preceded in death by his first wife,
Ann, his parents and his
sister, Ada Fowler.
Memorial donations may be made to the

Oklahoma Chapter, 5929 N. May, Suite 202,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
73112. Burial was held in Fairlawn Cemetery,
Elk City, Oklahoma
under the direction of Savage-Whinery
Funeral Service.
