D. Ann Clift was born January 29, 1935 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Oretha Lois (Gregston) and Albert Curtis Reed. She passed away December 11, 2016 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 12 days.

D. Ann grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School in 1953. After graduation she spent a few years in Iowa before returning to Duncan in early 1960 where she found employment with Halliburton as a secretary. While being employed with Halliburton she met and was eventually married to Lewis Clift at Duncan, Oklahoma on August 9, 1965. After their marriage they lived in Duncan, Nigeria, and Woodward before making their home in Elk City in 1974. After moving to Elk City D. Ann continued to raise their 3 daughters and substitute taught in the Elk City Schools. D. Ann was a member of the Elk City United Methodist Church and served with Meals on Wheels, United Fund, Past President of the Hospital Foundation Board, Elk City Chamber of Commerce, Past President of Friends of the Library, Old Town Museum Docents, Christmas in the Park Committee and Chamber Ambassador. D. Ann also enjoyed gardening, reading and watching Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Timberley Weatherly, 2 grandsons, Josh Clift and Luke Clift.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Lewis, of the home; 4 children, Erin Walton and husband, Johnny, Florence, MS, Kris Waters and husband, Jeff, Elk City, OK, Doug Clift and wife, Bonnie, Norman, OK and Debbie Lomeyer; 4 grandchildren, Summer Graves and husband, Tyler, Alex Waters, Scott Clift and wife, Leslie and Amanda James and husband, Steve; 8 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Basil Weatherly and a host of other relatives and friends.
