Janice Alice (LeBouc) Burnett was born April 29, 1937 in Elk
City, Oklahoma to Paul and Eula (Mills) LeBouc and went to be with her Lord and
Savior on October 28, 2016. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
She grew up on a farm northeast of Elk City, OK and graduated from high school
in 1955. She married Pled Burnett May 1, 1960 and they made their home in Elk
City, OK.
She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was a Sunday school
teacher for 45 years, a lifetime Deacon and a member of CWF. She also worked
with cub scouts, boys scouts, and girl scouts. She volunteered at the Oklahoma
Blood Institute blood drives for 35 years and worked at the Beckham County
elections for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, camping, playing cards,
and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sons, Paul Burnett and
Buford Burnett.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulett Burnett, Yukon, OK; 2 granddaughters,
Cynthia B. Burnett, and Shelbi N. Poff and husband, Garrick, and her soon to be
great granddaughter, Grace Poff, all of Elk City, OK and a host of other
relatives and friends.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the First
Christian Church in Elk City.
