Sherry grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma where she attended school. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida for 10 years before moving back to Elk City. After moving back she focused on her children and other children of the family and ensured they were raised in the right way. Sherry was an accomplished cook and waitress and was known in many restaurants in Elk City. She would often make her way to the kitchen where she would proceed to tell the current workers how she wanted her meal cooked. In 2008 she met Greg Foster and they began making their life together. Sherry was an avid gardener and also enjoyed planting and growing flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Tommy, Jerry
and Scotty Brinkley, sister, Rosalynn Brinkley.
She is survived by Greg, of the home; 3 sons, William Alan Johns,
Jr., Elk City, OK, David Murray Johns and Ranndi James, both of
Jasper, FL; 7 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Tammy King, Pam Lemons and
Paulla Cooper and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Services are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Services.
