Clara Belle Anderson was born March 3, 1936 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Hester Theresa and Alonzo Chancellor. She passed away July 22, 2015 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 19 days.

Clara grew up in Elk City and attended various schools in western Oklahoma. As a young woman, at the age of 14, she began helping her family in the cotton fields as part of a shared crop. In 1954 Clara moved to Elk City where she found employment at Thelma's Café and later at Safeway. She was married to Glenn Hunt at Elk City on November 2, 1954. After their marriage they continued to make Elk City their home and Clara began working for Dr. Sugarman in his eye clinic. She continued until 1977 when she began with Dr.'s Ford and Edwards until her retirement in 2011. Clara was a member of the 2nd & Adams Church of Christ where she found her ministry sending cards to her friends as well as her brothers and sisters in Christ for birthdays and illnesses. She also enjoyed playing games with her friends, square dancing, attending Thursday breakfast meetings and volunteering at the hospital but her passion in life was her love for the Lord and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, Ruth, Eva and Jeanne; 4 brothers, Charles, Wyman, Lonnie and Gib.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wilson and husband, Ed, Elk City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Joe Wilson and wife, Monique, McKinney, TX, Jessica Carr and husband, John, Monroe, LA, Grant Wilson, Lafayette, LA and Annie Brister and husband, Will, West Monroe, LA; 7 great grandchildren, Kensley, Zoe, Gage, Maddie, Carleigh, Hallie and Greer; 6 siblings, Jim, Denver, CO, Paul, Tuttle, OK, Hershel, Yukon, OK, Roger, Tuttle, OK, Marge, Enid, OK and Deanne, Oklahoma City, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
