Harry Earl Graybill

Harry Earl Graybill was born January 17, 1931, he was the youngest of five sons born to Ezra Fishburn and Elma Edith Barten Graybill. Harry passed from this life on February 27, 2011 at the age of 80 in Clinton, Oklahoma.
Harry was born on the family farm near Leedey, Oklahoma. Harry never lived anywhere except the home he was born in until he was 77 years old when he moved to Clinton. He attended Leedey Schools and graduated with the class of 1950. Harry married Vera Faye Hughes Archer on February 5, 1992 at the Baptist Church, Altus, Oklahoma. Harry never had children of his own, but loved his step-children like they were his.
Harry farmed and ranched with his brothers most of his life. In his younger days Harry enjoyed coyote hunting and would love to go to the Quick Trip and share stories with his many friends there. He also enjoyed turkey and deer hunting. Harry was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Dewey County FSA Committee. He also served on the Evergreen Cemetery Board.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Ezra and Elma Graybill and three brothers, Lewis, Leo and Gail.
He is survived by his wife Vera Graybill of Clinton, Oklahoma; stepsons Wayne Archer and wife Sheila of Athens, Texas and Kevin Archer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one step-daughter Sharon Leibold of Leedey, Oklahoma; brother Doyle Graybill of Woodland, California and sister Ercel Jones of Foss, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Joey Archer, David Archer, Andy Archer and Karson Leibold; great-grandchildren, Harley Archer, Matthew Archer, Caleb Archer, Cameron Archer and Pypre Archer; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Leedey, Oklahoma with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery. Services arranged by Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Medical Research Foundation of Oklahoma c/o Shaw Funeral Home, P.O. Box 276, Vici, OK 73859. Condolences may be made to the family and video tribute viewed at shawfuneralhome.net.
