Mr. Robert Strickland passed away January 17, 2019 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 3 days.

Robert was born to his parents Jack and Opal (Lucas) Strickland August 14, 1930 in Erick, Oklahoma. Robert worked for and retired from General Motors in the assembly department after 40 years of service. He had many hobbies including gardening, fishing and hunting. Robert was known for his beautiful gardens, tomatoes and hot peppers. He loved to share his hot peppers from his pocket with anyone who was willing. Robert’s greatest love was for his family, step dad, Irvin Richard Baker and the family farm.

Surviving Robert in death includes his 1 son: Greg Strickland of Arlington, TX, 1 sister: Irvalynn Rose of Plano, TX, 5 step children: Bobby Smith, Dennis Smith and Lucy Ann Smith, Randy Reynolds and Billy Reynolds, 2 nieces: Alicia Rose of Plano, TX and Ashley Rose Dunham of San Antonio, TX, 1 great niece: Peyton Rose and a host of longtime friends.

Preceding Robert in death includes his parents, 1 son: Karlis Strickland, 2 wives: Lucy Ardell Strickland and Ella June Strickland and 1 step daughter: Debbie Crow.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Erick Cemetery with Pastor Jason Kleckner officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 9:00 AM -5:00 PM at Rose Chapel – Sayre.

Mr. Gregory Earl Strickland passed away Friday April 5, 2019 at his home in Arlington, Texas at the age of 59 years.

Greg was born November 9, 1959 in Ft. Worth, Texas to his parents Robert E. Strickland and Lucy (Maddox) Floyd. Greg has resided in Arlington, Texas his entire life. Starting at a young age he enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Greg was a very private and kindhearted person. He drove and assisted his elderly clients with great devotion and care, building strong relationships. He enjoyed his cab driving career.

Surviving Greg include his aunt: Irvalynn Rose of Plano, Texas, 2 half- brothers: Dennis Smith and Bobby Wayne Smith of Arlington, Texas, 1 half-sister: Lucy Ann Chaney of Arkansas, and 2 cousins.

Preceding Greg in death include his parents and 1 brother: Karlis Strickland.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Erick Cemetery with Pastor Jason Kleckner officiating.
