Edgar (Ed) Lee Reisor passed away on Wednesday, August 20,2014. Ed was born in Hastings, Oklahoma on August 8, 1911, to John Montgomery Reisor and wife Leska Nelms Reisor and passed away on Wednesday, August 20,2014. He celebrated his l03rd birthday on August 8, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.He was a carpenter by trade and a fisherman for pleasure. He could recall every fish he caught and what bait he used. Formerly of Sayre, Oklahoma, Ed had lived with his daughter Wava McCullough and son-in-law Bill McCullough for the last twelve years in Cross Timber, Texas. He enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren who lived nearby. His other children, grandchildren, and family members visited often and he loved seeing them. He was very active mentally, reading five books a week from the library and fishing until the last three months of his life when his health started to decline. He was a kind man who loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances (Tommy) Gill, sisters, Helen Reisor Jackson and Frances Mead Waggoner; brothers Wayne Reisor and Harold Mead; Stepsisters, Alberta and Gladys Mead; Stepbrothers Lawrence and Glen Mead, nephews Mike Mead and Jack Reisor.
Survivors: Daughters Wava McCullough and husband Bill, daughter Shelley Shipp, son Tony Batchlear and wife Roseann. Grandsons Ron McCullough and wife Theresa, John McCullough and wife Michelle, Kenneth Shipp III and wife Kelly, Tony Batchlear Jr. and wife Brenda. Granddaughters Amanda Kae Smith and husband Jon, Tanya Bridges and husband Robert. Great grandchildren: Logan McCullough, Nicole McCullough, Emma Grace Shipp, Benjamin Shipp, Everett Shipp, Genevieve Noelle Smith, Kaley Batchlear, John Batchlear, Caleb Batchlear, Alina Batchlear, Ashley McQuoid, Christian Bridges. Nieces and nephews from the Reisor/Mead family: Judi Thomas, Larry Reisor, Mike Reisor, Barbara McCurdy, Patty Busby, Marilyn Mead Slentz, Marcia Mead, Gary Mead, Mark Mead, Sue Murdoch, Carol McLoughlin, Ron Waggoner. Nieces and nephews from the Gill family: Sherri Williams Hill and husband, Drew, Gary Williams and wife, Betty, Rick Williams, Albert Gill, David Gill, Audrey Gill Stephens and husband, Darrell, Kevin Black, Karen Birdwell, Cindy Steele, Debbie Steele, Kelly Hawkinberry and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Rose Chapel, Sayre, Oklahoma. Burial in Erick Cemetery in Erick, Oklahoma.
