Judy was born May 25, 1944 in Broken Bow, OK to her parents Ed and Clara (Vanslyke) Johnson. Judy has resided in the Erick, OK area since 1970. She and James Oren married May 30, 1969 in Nebraska. She received her master’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. Judy loved teaching. Her other hobbies included shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and pets.
Judy is survived by her husband James Oren of the home, 2 sons: Steve and wife Betty Oren of Tucson, AZ, Greg and wife Crystal Oren of Erick, OK, 2 brothers: John and wife Faye Johnson of Broken Bow, OK, Larry and wife Penny Johnson of Dallas, TX, 2 sisters: Pat Powers of Anadarko, OK and May Lou Turnage of Arlington, TX, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives, longtime friends and neighbors.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Shirley Bray and Alma Lavender, 1 brother: James “Cub” Johnson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Erick First Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Atkinson officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM at Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home in Erick, OK.
