H. Norman
Janell H. Norman was born May 30, 1930 in Erick, Oklahoma to Bertie Lee and
William Clarence Hess. She passed away October 20, 2011 at Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Janell grew up and attended school in Erick, Oklahoma. After school, she moved
to Amarillo, Texas where she was married to SMSGT, Bill E. Norman in August of
1965. Following her husband, they moved to Kadena, Okinawa, Bellevue, Nebraska
and Lakenheath, England. In 1972, they moved back to the Oklahoma City area
where she concentrated on being the greatest grandmother in the world to her
granddaughter. Janell was a great provider to her family and also enjoyed
bargain shopping and reading. During her last days, her greatest companions were
her dogs, "Cocoa" and "Angel".
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, Leon Hess and 1
sister, Lovell Webster.
She is survived by her son, James "Randy" Norman and wife, Sheila, McAlester,
OK; 1 granddaughter, Janessa Ward and husband, Kelly, Athens, AL; 1 brother,
Thurman Leon Hess, Dumas, TX; caregiver, Jared Carter, Oklahoma City and a host
of other relatives and friends.
Service:
Graveside services held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the
Erick Cemetery officiated by Rev. Danny Dennis and Linda Robison, assisting.
Services are under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
