Gayle Divelbiss was born September 1, 1948 in Shamrock, Texas. She passed away December 25, 2016 at Carter, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 24 days.
Gayle grew up in the Texas Panhandle until the family moved to Miami, Florida in 1966. After graduating from Miami High School in 1967, she moved to Seattle, Washington and became employed with Boeing Aerospace where she was a talented Draftsman. She later lived in Kansas City, Missouri until moving to western Oklahoma. She continued her education at Sayre Junior College where she met Ronnie Easter and they were married September 4, 1971 in Mangum, Oklahoma.
Gayle went on to finish her Bachelors Degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, where she later earned her Masters Degree. Gayle did her student teaching in Sweetwater before teaching Biology and Math at Reydon School and then transferred to Sayre School in 1991. She continued to teach until 1996 when she changed careers and went into Healthcare. She was currently employed with Girling Healthcare as a Case Manager. Gayle was an amazing artist and she enjoyed anything to do with horses. She loved spending time with her family and always looked forward to visiting with her special uncle, Gary Mills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Joyce Divelbiss, and a brother, Gary David Divelbiss, and a grandson, Owen.
She is survived by her sons, David Easter and wife, Juanita, Erick, OK, Brandon Easter and wife, Christina, Sayre, OK; 4 grandchildren and one on the way, Hunter Crook, Triston Easter, Emily Easter and Laney Easter; a sister, Phyllis Riley and husband, Ed, Clovis, NM; the father of her children, Ronnie Easter, Carter, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
