Phylena was born June 1, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma to her parents Walter and Opal (Young) Swaner. Phylena grew up in Sayre, OK and then moved to Elk City, OK in 1994. She married Harvey Parker April 10, 1958 in Spearman, TX. Phylena enjoyed sewing, reading, and loved attending her children’s events. Genealogy was another one of Phylena’s hobbies along with painting, crafting and bowling.
Phylena is survived by her husband of the home: Harvey Parker; sons: Earl Parker of Bartlesville, OK, Mike Parker of Weatherford, OK, Ricky Parker of Midwest City, OK; 2 daughters: Jolene Bales of Sayre, OK, Cindy Gilliland of Amarillo, TX; 1 sister: Kay McManus of Erick, OK, 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of longtime friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 23, 2020 at First Baptist Church, Sayre with Pastor Pete Parker and Pastor Tom Cooksey officiating.
Interment will follow at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre. Online guestbook and condolence are available at www.whineryfs.com
