Imogene was born December 29, 1927 to her parents Lee Alexander and Millie Gertrude (Marshall) Simmons in Paris, AR. Imogene worked for Montgomery Wards in the women’s clothing department from 1962 ~ 1975. She then received her cosmetology license in 1976 and began her hair dressing career from 1976 ~ 1992. Imogene loved her clients and her profession. She moved to Sayre, OK in 2005 marrying Dale Neal July 20, 2005 in Panhandle, TX. Imogene enjoyed reading and listening to music on the radio.
Imogene is survived by her husband of 14 years: Dale Neal of the home; 2 brothers: Gwendol Simmons and Darrell Simmons of Panhandle, TX as well as a host of other relatives, longtime precious friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Rose Chapel, Sayre with Billy Clabaugh officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM at Rose Chapel, Sayre.
