Longtime Sayre resident, Joy Jeanenne Morales passed from this life Friday afternoon, December 17, 2021, at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 29 days in Elk City, OK. Jeanenne was born June 18, 1946, in Sayre, OK, to her parents, R.T. and Wanda (Sanders) Gattis.
 
Jeanenne has lived most of her life in her hometown of Sayre, OK. She resided in Amarillo, TX, for 17 years while returning home to reside ever since. She and Ernest Morales married July 28, 1998, in Wheeler, TX. Jeanenne loved spending time in the genealogy of her family. Many enjoyable hours were spent in the history of her family. She also enjoyed crocheting and pushing buttons at the casino with her partner in crime and dear friend, Louise Stewart.
 
Jeanenne was a longtime and dedicated employee of the Sayre sale barn for over 10 years of service she also served with a calm and steady voice as the dispatcher for the Sayre Police Dept. for over 15 years. She also served the Beckham County Jail as kitchen supervisor.
 
Although Jeanenne is no longer with us, her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include: her husband of 23 years: Ernest Morales of the home, 4 daughters: Lavone Jones of Albuquerque, NM, Kathy and husband Kenny Campbell of Ashtola, TX, Dee and husband Kirk Graham of Edgewood, NM, Rhonda Jones of Sayre, OK; 2 sons: Wayne and wife Kelle Jones of  Lubbock, TX, Kevin and wife Monica Jones of Sayre, OK; as well as a dear special friend and companion: Louise Stewart of Sayre, OK; Grammy to 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; as well as a host of longtime friends and special neighbors.
 
Preceding Jeanenne in death include her parents, and 1 granddaughter.
 
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery.
