Judith Ellen Maddox was born February 9, 1950 in Erick, Oklahoma to Etta Eva and James Buford Mann. She passed away March 15, 2014 at Ft. Worth, Texas at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Judith grew up in Erick, Oklahoma and graduated from Erick High School in 1968. After graduation she was married to Roger Wayne Maddox at Erick, Oklahoma on August 23, 1968. They made their home in Sayre and she obtained employment at the Rexall Drug store until she gave birth to their daughter, Deidra. Judith was a stay-at-home mother for the next 9 years until she went to work for Sayre Professional Pharmacy where she worked as a pharmacy technician.
In 1984 Judith and Roger moved to the Ft. Worth area so Roger could attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She worked in retail for a couple of years and served as an administrative assistant before she began working as a home healthcare assistant in the Ft. Worth area. They moved to Arnett, Oklahoma in 1990 and while Roger pastored the church there Judith obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1992. In 1995 they moved back to Ft. Worth and remained there until 2007 when Roger was tragically killed in an automotive accident. In 2008, Judith moved to Sayre and began working at Sayre Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide and eventually for home healthcare until her health forced her retirement in 2013. Judith enjoyed reading, gardening, taking her grandchildren and great grandchildren shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Deidra Ford, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 granddaughter, Britannia Ford-Lewis and husband, Tommy, Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandsons, Scotland Ford, Ft. Worth, TX and Holland Ford, of the home; 2 sisters, Ora Lee Roberts and husband, Don, Sayre, OK and Jamie Chittum, Erick, OK; 2 great grandchildren, Lilly and Isaiah Lewis, both of Ft. Worth, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Gary Baird. Burial will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com.
