Jane was raised in the Bridgeport community where she attended school.
She later graduated from Geary High School before continuing her education
at Hill's Business College. She was married to Ross D. Hutchinson in
Oklahoma City, OK on June 10, 1949 and remained there during the births…
of their children. Later they lived in Duncan and Clinton, where they made
many treasured friends. In 1970 they moved to Sayre and made their home. She
and Ross operated Hutchinson Oil for many years. Jane was active in the
community and was a member of P.E.O, the As You Like It Study Club,
currently serving as President. She also served as a volunteer for the Sayre
Museum and the Meals on Wheels Program. Jane and Ross were honored in 2014
as the Sayre Citizens of the Year. Jane leaves behind many family members
and friends who lovingly remember her caring personality and her great sense
of humor.
She was a longtime member of the First United
Methodist Church of Sayre and was very active in the United Methodist
Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her Husband, Ross D. Hutchinson, of the home; 3 children, Diana Miller, Kansas City, MO, Barbi Robinson and husband, Wayne, Sayre, OK and David Hutchinson and wife, Linda, Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, Megan Cole and husband, Brian, Kansas City, MO, Justin Robinson and wife, Allison, Elk City, OK, Keri Jones and husband, Justin, Yukon, OK, Brian Hutchinson and wife, Janelle, Elk City, OK, Kurtis Hutchinson and wife, Meggie, Elk City, OK and Erin Hutchinson, Stillwater, OK; 6 great grandchildren, Lincoln and Blake Cole, Trooper and Scout Jones, Benjamin Robinson and Ryan Hutchinson; a great grandchild, Crew Hutchinson on the way; 3 sisters, Esther Blankenship, Titusville, FL, Velma Beyer, Yukon, OK and Beverly Self, Tuttle, OK; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to the First United Methodist Church of Sayre.
Services will be held May 1, 2015 at 10:00
A.M. at Sayre United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Marvin Stuckey.
Burial will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel
