Kenneth Wells Free was born June 27, 1928 in Tatum, Texas and passed
away May 19, 2014 in Garland, Texas at the age of 85 years, 10 months
and 22 days.
Ken grew up in Tatum, and Lancaster, Texas where he graduated from high
school. He was married to Anna Jo Dean on December, 22, 1948 in
Lancaster, Texas. Ken began a 60 year career as a Gospel preacher for
churches of Christ. He served as the local minister to the College
Street Church of Christ in Waxahachie, TX, as well as churches…
of Christ in Dublin, GA, Burnett, TX, Arnett, OK, Sayre, OK, Minneola,
TX, Dillon, MT, Twin Bridges, MT, Wheeler, TX, Eastside Church of
Christ, Clarksville, TX, Clarksville Church of Christ Clarksville, TX,
Ralls, TX, Floydada, TX, and Caddo Mills, TX where he retired on
September 8, 2013 due to failing health and they moved to Garland, TX to
be near their daughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Nelda Free, 1 son,
Joe Anderson Free, 1 sister and 2 brothers
He is survived by his wife, Ann, 2 daughters, Pam Graham and husband,
Marvin, Garland, TX, Evetta Edwards and husband, Tom, 1 son, Ricky Free
and wife, Sharon, Crowley, TX, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 4
sisters, Bernice Pinson, Floy Lewis, Betty Perley, Freeda Wester, and 1
brother, Johnie Free.
