Louise was the "baby" of the family in every sense of the word, being the last born of 8 siblings. With that being said, Louise didn't want to leave her momma to begin her school days, so she was allowed to wait another year to begin school. She finally began school in Bulo and then graduated from New Liberty in 1941 where she was a track, softball, and basketball stand-out. Louise was baptized on August 17, 1942 by their Church of Christ preacher, Joe Laird, in a creek near Bulo. At the age of 14, Louise became struck on Giles Passmore. They became inseparable until he entered the U.S. Air Force. She had begun her career working at the Selective Service office processing the young soldiers headed to war. Now she was having to process her love to put on a bus to Roswell, NM to begin his training. She was heartbroken to see him load that bus, but the letters began to flow. Eventually, this "baby of the family", who had never spent a night away from home, would talk her sister into secretly taking her to TX to board a bus herself so she could marry Giles Passmore on September 12, 1942. They began their life together in Roswell, NM, where Giles DeWitt Passmore, Jr. was born on February 1, 1944. Their love story continued and after the war was over, the family returned to Sayre to begin their ranching/farming days. Louise was such a people person who loved "order", so began her career in bookkeeping at the Sayre Memorial Hospital, where she worked and made so many lifelong friends until her retirement in 1986. Louise had many talents. She was an impeccable seamstress, wonderful cook, the best mother, grandma and aunt of all time. She put others above herself and anyone who met her was made to feel special. Louise had unconditional love for everyone, and everyone loved her. She was always dressed "neat" and classy and had a contagious beautiful smile. She chose to see the world through rose- colored glasses. Louise lost Giles to cancer in January, 1976. Her heart was never the same, but the love of her friends and family helped her endure the pain. She traveled some thereafter and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and her "adopted" grandchildren at all of their events. She later married Fred Burden. Louise remained in Sayre until moving to Weatherford to be near her granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, Giles Passmore, her only child, Giles DeWitt "Dee" Passmore, Jr. in 2011, an infant brother, her brothers Jim Phillips and Woodrow Phillips, sisters Viola Brauchi, Opal Griffin, Edith Allison, and Ethel Simpson. She was preceded in death by several special in-laws, nieces and nephews, but an extra special niece, Molly Jane Carlson.
Louise is survived by: Granddaughter, Jacqueline Passmore Aaron and husband, Michael, of Weatherford. Grandson, Justin Passmore and wife, Tammy, of Sayre, and daughter-in-law Vanetta, of Sayre. She is survived by her GREAT grandchildren, Logan and Jayden of Weatherford, Sage, Tabor and Nikki of Sayre. She is survived by many nieces and nephews that are extra special to her. She is survived by a special nephew that was more like a brother, Bill Phillips and his wife Yvonne, of Midland, TX.
