Ara Pearl (Skip) Webb, 61, of Sayre, Oklahoma, was born July 4, 1925 in Sardis, Mississippi, to Robert Elery and Julia Ellen Truitt and passed away Thursday, January 1, 1987, at her home following an extended illness. On September 13, 1952, she and Louis Ray Webb were married in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He preceded her in death in 1985. They lived in Elk City, Oklahoma for 9 years before moving to Sayre in 1962 where they owned and operated the Webb Livestock Auction. Skip was co-owner of the Unique Boutique until 1985, and was employed there at the time of her death. She was an active member of the Sayre Church of Christ. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 granddaughter. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Bobette York of Hobart, Oklahoma, Rosa Smotherman of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Darlene Coleman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 stepdaughters, Marie Jo Schreck of Elk City, Oklahoma, Linda Horner of Hamilton, Texas; 2 sons: Bobby Webb of Sayre, Oklahoma, Richard (Ricky) Webb of Denver, Colorado; 9 and children, 3 sisters, Edna Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, Marianne Tennyson of Sayre, Oklahoma, Julia Porter of Merritt, Oklahoma. Other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 3, 1987 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sayre Church of Christ with Eddie Beard officiating. Interment followed in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services of Sayre. Pallbearers were Marshall Hartman, Lomax Murphy, Freddie Jergerson, K .E. Whinery, James Bohannan, Cliff Taylor, Dee Passmore and Wayne Barber.
