Kyle Eugene Rhodes was born October 30, 1968 in Friona, Texas and passed away December 27, 1990 at the age of 22 years, 1 month and 27 days.
Kyle, the son of Cleatus Eugene and Karron Lavelle Rhodes moved with his parents to Post, Texas and then McAlester, Oklahoma before moving to the Delhi community in 1980.
He graduated from Sayre High School in 1987 where he was active in FFA and had lettered three years in football.
He served in the United States Coast Guard until he was honorably discharged in September of 1990.
Kyle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sayre and was currently employed by Wal-Mart in Elk City.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
He is survived by his parents, Cleatus and Karron Rhodes of Sayre, Oklahoma; his maternal grandmother, Florence Knight of Antlers, Oklahoma; his paternal grandmother, Malbian Rhodes of Friona, Texas; one brother, Kobie and his wife Ramona of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two nieces, Lynel and Lacey; one nephew, Justin; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 29, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. in the Delhi Baptist Church with Charles Tatyrek officiating.
Interment followed in the Delhi Cemetery, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.
