Donnie was born to his parents Rufus and Madeline (Piercy) Prather September 22, 1952, in Sayre, OK. Donnie and Linda Jolene Staggs were married February 26, 1996. Donnie attended Delhi and Erick schools in his younger years. He was a truck driver by trade. Many miles were spent on the highways of America during his employment. Donnie was a true outdoorsman as well. He enjoyed hunting and farming. His greatest love was for his family and his grandchildren.
Donnie is survived by his wife: Jolene Prather of the home; 2 sons: Jacob Prather of Sayre, OK, Tommy and wife Anisa Stevens of Kingsville, TX; 2 daughters: Shelly Prather Mohler, April and husband Darren Osborne of Elk City, OK; 1 brother: James and wife Jerrye Prather of Panhandle, TX; 1 sister: Mary Jane Prather and Pete Dunlap of Sayre, OK, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Shari and Lorne Nuttall of Elk City, OK, brother-in-law: David Staggs; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Preceding Donnie in death include his parents: Rufus and Madeline Prather; 3 brothers: Tommy Joe (T.J.), Albert (Red), R.L. Prather; 4 sisters: Ann Odom, Carol Boyd, Nyla Speed, Linda Simpson.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Rose Chapel, Sayre with Herb Ropp officiating. Interment at Delhi Cemetery will follow at a later date.
