Funeral services for Lottie Mae Hilley Friday Messier were conducted Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Delhi Cemetery with Rev. Carl Janocha officiating. Interment was under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.

Lottie Mae Messier was born April 10, 1918, near Sayre to James William and Martha Lee Ellen Young Hilley and passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the age of 93.

She attended Hext School.

She was first married to George Friday and then married George Messier.

They moved to New Hampshire in 1953, where she owned and operated a nursing home. They returned to Sayre in 1958.

She was also a nurse, waitress and then moved to Roger Mills County where she farmed and ranched.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, George Friday; and a grandson, George Friday; as well as other relatives and friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Andre' Messier of Cheyenne; a son, Don Friday of Texas; adopted daughter, Wanda Messier Perry of Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Sabrina Friday of Oklahoma; and a brother, John D. Hilley of Texas.
