Dr. Edward Keith Coltharp, age 87, of Mayfield KY passed
away Monday, February 9, 2015 at his residence.
He was a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Park Hills, KY. He
was a retired orthodontist, dentist, horse trainer, farmer and worked
part time as an instructor at the University of Kentucky College of
Dentistry in the Department of orthodontics. He was the first president
of the Kentucky Quarter Horse Racing Association and was inducted into
the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association
Hall Of Fame in 2007.
Dr. Coltharp is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bonnie Lee Fleener
Coltharp: two sons and their wives: Craig Keith Coltharp, and Kathy, of
Waverly, TN and Flint B. Coltharp and Martha, of Fort Mitchell, KY; two
daughters: Shelia and Dr. M.R. Reynolds of Mayfield, KY and Kayla and
William T. Beaupre of Boaz, KY; one brother: John Erlon Coltharp of
Chico CA; 11 grandchildren: Reid, Keely, Summer, Tani, Jeremiah, Craig
II, Shane, Kara, Chance, Brice and Ryan; 19 great grandchildren and one
great great-grandchild.
