Anita Louise (Johnson) Thompson was born July 9, 1938 in Carter, OK the
daughter of Vern and Rosie (Breeze) Johnson. She went to be with her Lord on
Wednesday, May 25, 2016 after a long and courageous battle.
Anita married Farrell Dean Thompson on July 26, 1955 in Norman, OK. They made
their home in Oklahoma City where they raised their sons Larry and Donnie. For
many years Anita loved being a bookkeeper for B.C. Clark Jewelers.
Anita and Farrell lost their son Donnie on December 1, 2000. She was also
preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Dale Johnson and Merle
Johnson.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Farrell; her son, Dr. Larry D.
Thompson and his wife Kathryn of Coalgate, OK; her daughter-in-law, Debbie
Thompson of Dallas, TX; her grandson, Nicholas Ryan Thompson and his wife Kati
of Stillwater, OK; her sister, Mrs. Charles (Wilma) Yarbrough of OK City; and
her brother, Farrell Johnson and his wife Linda of Kingston, OK; her
sisters-in-law, Peggy Rogers of Midland, TX and Rheba Clifton of OK City; her
brothers-in-law, Jerry Thompson and wife Sharon and Jack Thompson of Elk City,
OK; numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday at Vondel Smith
Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m.,
Tuesday, May 31st in Quail Springs Baptist Church, 14613 N. May Ave. Interment
will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Carter Cemetery in Carter, OK.
