Albert “Leon” Parker passed into eternity on February 26, 2021, at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 24 days in Elk City, Oklahoma.  Leon was born in Hoyt, Oklahoma, August 4, 1938, to his parents William Leslie Parker and Ruby (Simmons) Parker.
 

Leon took the late Donna Harding as his bride in 1975, and resided in Carter, Oklahoma, for many years. He and Donna were married over 25 years at her passing. Leon was known as a true outdoorsman.  He enjoyed working and spending time with his team of wagon horses.  He and a dear friend founded the Ridge Runners.  Many fond memories were spent on the wagon trails.  Leon’s true love was for his family and grandchildren.

Although Leon is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include his 1 daughter:  Leigh Ann Querdibitty and husband Jesse of Carter, Oklahoma; 2 sons:  Gary and wife Candy of Kingston, Oklahoma, Bob and wife Michelle Parker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 sister:  Helen McClain of Savanna, Oklahoma; 1 brother:  Don Parker of Quinton, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of longtime friends, and neighbors.
 

Leon is preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 sons:  Dustin Parker, Jerry Don Parker; 1 brother:  James Parker, and 1 sister:  Betty Doby.
 

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Carter Cemetery with Pastor Andy Taylor officiating. 

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Whinery Funeral Home.
