Dorothy Pauline Loyd ended her early journey on Friday, August 22, 2014 and was welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior. On the day of her transition to eternal life, this earth grew dimmer and heaven grew brighter. She came to live with us on September 9, 1921, in Carter, OK.

Dorothy Breeze was born to Edgar and Agnes Breeze. She attended Kempton and Carter schools, graduating in 1939. She married Euell L. (Bosco) Loyd on September 30, that year. They lived in Beckham County over 50 years. She was employed in the County Court Clerk’s Office over 25 years, 14 of those years, she served as the Chief Clerk. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church where she was active on several committees and boards during her walk with her Lord.

She is survived by her son, Phil and his wife Sharon of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughter, Army and husband Max; great-granddaughter, Isabel of Jamaica Plain, MA; and one sister, Mary Mullenix of Edmond, OK.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosy Johnson, Flora Thompson and Letha Bullard; three brothers, Henry, Harvey, and Leo; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
