Troy Jones was born September 11, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed away November 18, 2016 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 58 years, 2 months and 7 days.

Troy grew up in the Sayre community and was raised by his grandparents, Tom and Opal Davis. His senior year he was married to Sharon Lynn (Rippetoe) at Spring Creek, Oklahoma on September 1, 1975 and later graduated in 1976. Together Troy and Sharon moved to Carter and from scratch they started the Troy Jones Backhoe Service and later was able to acquire a brand new backhoe. In the late 80's Troy saw the opportunity to have a side business in raising ostriches and later expanded to other exotic animals. In 1993 Troy and Sharon moved from Carter to south of Elk City and evolved the backhoe business into the buying and selling of farm equipment. Seeing the hardships the farmers were going through, Troy diversified his farming equipment operation and in 2001 started Troy Jones Equipment and continued until present. Besides work, Troy enjoyed his helicopter, especially with his friend and pilot Rodney Baker and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Opal Davis, sister, Judy Drinnon, uncle, Junior Davis and his father and mother-in-law, J.B. and Lillian Rippetoe.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; 2 children, Mandy Jones and grandson Cooper Stehr, Elk City, OK and Andy Jones and wife, Cristina, Edmond, OK; son-in-law, Darren Stehr, Elk City, OK; his special angel, Char Fite, Mustang, OK; 5 brothers and sisters, Steve Jones and wife, Deanna, Sayre, OK, Cindy Olaveson and husband, Ken, Carter, OK, Debbie Wimberly and husband, Carl, Carter, OK, Tammi Anter and husband, Sean, Oak Harbor, WA, Chris Cowfer, Snohomish, WA and numerous other relatives and dear friends.
