Patricia King Newberry, age 77 of Seguin, Texas passed away on November 2, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Patty was born on February 28, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Kenneth and Alasce Lorraine (Howell) King. On December 24, 1960, she married Gerald Dwain Newberry in Sayre, Oklahoma. Patty was a Licensed Vocational Nurse with many years of service in the Seguin, Texas area.

She is survived by her children, Robert Newberry (Tammy) of Boerne, Texas and Shari Trost (Tom) of Geronimo, Texas; grandchildren, Dwain Brant Trost (Jessica), Christopher Denver (Brooke), Patricia Brewer (Michael), Cayla Newberry and Cavin Newberry; great grandchildren, Colton Denver, Kyndra Johnson and Jordan Trost; siblings, Susie Sibley (Richard) and Roger Bryan (Jo); and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Newberry and her parents.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, November 8, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home located at 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin.

Patty will be laid to rest in Buffalo Cemetery located in Sayre, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Guadalupe County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1593, Sequin, Texas 78156, and by visiting gchshumane.com/donate and to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and by visiting www.stjude.org.
