Juanita Margie Keathley LeGrand was born April 10, 1924 to George and Ola (Fields) Keathley at Sweetwater, Oklahoma. She married Thomas G. (T.G.) LeGrand July, 20,1940. They had three children Sharon, Tommy George and Janice. Juanita was saved by grace through faith and was baptized March 16, 1958 at Buffalo Baptist Church. She passed from death unto life on January 21, 2018 at her Sweetwater home.
She attended Sweetwater School, Sayre Junior College and graduated from South Western Oklahoma State University at Weatherford in 1968. Juanita was a teacher in Elk City Public School for 20 plus years; first at Longfellow and then Grandview 5th & 6th grade center.
She is survived by her son Tommy and wife, Virginia LeGrand of Sweetwater; 4 grandchildren Jeffrey Harrell and Chrystal, Kevin Harrell and Sarah, Justin Lesley and Elizabeth Sumpter all of Sayre and Larry Shannon of Sayre; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Yvonne Reed of Wasilla, Alaska; 1 brother-in-law, Ed and wife, Alberta LeGrand, Stillwater, OK; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband T.G. LeGrand; 2 daughters, Sharon Harrell and Janice Elms, great grandson, Colby Glenn Harrell; her parents George and Ola Keathley; her mother and father-in-law, F. H. and Cora LeGrand; 2 brothers Leo and wife, Lewanda Keathley, Milton (Bud) and wife, Inez Keathley, sister-in-law, Stella and husband, Orville Matlock.
Juanita would want you to know how she made it on her journey through this world for 93 years, 9 months and 10 days. She had a steadfast anchor of Grace and Mercy -- His name is Jesus.
