Mary Elizabeth King was born February 03, 1945 in Richmond, Missouri to Lewis Virgil and Elizabeth Malinda (Herod) Hall. She passed away April 03, 2018 at Wheeler, Texas at the age of 73 years and 2 months.
 

Mary grew up in Richmond where she met Fair Dean King and they were married on October 16, 1960 in Lawson, MO. They made their home in Heavener, Oklahoma and three sons were born to this union. Mary and Dean had always wished for a daughter and this dream come true in 1974 when they adopted a little girl. They later moved to Kingston, Oklahoma where they built a home and continued to maintained it until recently moving to Wheeler to be near their daughter. Dean entered in the ministry, and the family traveled to various towns across Oklahoma where he pastored. Mary lived the life of devoted preacher's wife but also owned an upholstery business, drove a school bus, managed an apartment building and storage business and worked as a caretaker for the elderly. Mary was very active in the church and a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to read her Bible and was also an accomplished seamstress and a great cook.


She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Junior Hall, Tommy Hall and Bob Hall, and a sister, Martha Ann.
 

She is survived by her husband, Fair; 4 children, Joseph Dean King and wife, Bonnie, of Franklinton, NC, Mark Allen King of Edmond, OK, Paul Edward King of Wheeler, TX, Angela Louise Davis and husband, Terrill, of Sweetwater, OK; a sister, Frances Marquis of Yakima, WA; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
