David Hulon Flowers

David Hulon Flowers was born April 5, 1948 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Lois and
Joseph I. Flowers and passed away September 20, 1994 in the University
Hospital of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 46 years, 5 months and
15 days.

David graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1967. After graduation he
lived at the Home of Hope in Vinita, Oklahoma for 10 years where he was a
boy scout, earning many honors. He returned to Sweetwater in 1977 to live
with his parents. David was active with Erick Kitchen Band for many years,
helping the members set up for the concerts. David loved nature and
enjoyed gardening and feeding wildlife. He also was concerned for his
neighbors, checking on and helping several ladies in the community. For
the past two years, David was involved in researching the genealogy of his
family and produced two books, one each for Joe and Lois family tree.

He was a member of Blanchard Primitive Baptist Church and attended the
Erick Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a
nephew Robert Flowers.

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Lois Flowers, Sweetwater, Oklahoma;
2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony A. and Carleese, Orland, Florida
and Joe Dale and Esther, Kirksville, Missouri; 2 nieces, Ginger DeMarquis
and husband Ken, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Melissa Mance and husband Jim,
Kirksville, Missouri; 1 npehew, Mike Flowers, St. Joseph, Missouri and a
host of other relatives and friends.

Services were at 2:00 Friday, September 23, 1994 at the Sweetwater First
Baptist Church officiated by T.J. Pittman, and assisted by Ed Wrather.
Interment was in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Fatheree-
Albert Funeral Home.
