Lois Jean Brinkley was born April 4, 1943 in Magazine, Arkansas to Orphie and Henry Preston Loyd. She passed away March 4, 2014 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years and 11 months.

Lois grew up in Elk City where she attended school. She was married to Tom Troy Brinkley at Elk City, Oklahoma on July 11, 1959 and they made their home in Elk City. Lois owned and operated Brinkleys' Cleaning Service for a number of years while working as a home health nurse. She loved to sew, drink hot tea, sing and embroidery.

She was a member of the Lion of Judah Lighthouse and recently had become an ordained minister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, Roslynn Kay Brinkley, 1 grandson, Joshua Henry Coleman, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Tammy King, Naples, TX; Sherry Brinkley, Elk City, OK; Paulla Cooper and husband, John, Elk City, OK; 1 son, Scott Brinkley, Elk City, OK; 1 brother, Eulan Loyd, Elk City, OK; 3 sisters, Faye Dowdell, Elk City, OK, Linda Olivas, Elk City, OK, Rosa Mitchell, Amarillo, TX; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
