Ella Fern Reiswig was born in Duncan Oklahoma on July 16, 1939 to Weldon W. and Bertha L. (Smith) Howard and passed from this life on January 31, 2021 at the KU Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas.

At a young age, Fern moved with her parents to Oklahoma City where she grew up. In 1955, at the young age of 15, the family moved to the Oklahoma panhandle when her father became the minister of the Mountain View Baptist Church located in Beaver County. Here she met the love of her life, John W. "J. W." Reiswig, and in 1956 the couple was married. They moved back to Oklahoma City and were blessed with four boys, Curtis, Terry, Brian, and Ronald. Being a loving mother and wife was not enough for her, Fern also worked out of the home as a bookkeeper for many years.

Fern was an active member of the Del View Baptist Church in Del City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was an avid reader. Her book collection was enormous and filled several cases. Fern was a kind and considerate lady who will be missed by all that knew her.

Fern is survived by her husband of 64 years, J.W. Reiswig, of the Home, four sons; Curtis W. Reiswig and wife Karen, Terry J. Reiswig and wife Resa, Brian A. Reiswig and wife Annie, and Ronald C. Reiswig and wife Melisa, one sister; Alice Gayle Schoelen, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Bertha, one grandson Christopher Reiswig, and one brother Aubrey.
