Mary Ella Peters

February 1, 1900 ~ November 1, 1964 | Age 67

Alva - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Peters, 64, will be at 10 AM Wednesday in the First Christian Church at Alva with the Rev. Charles Lindberg pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at the Forgan Cemetery with the Wharton Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. peters died Sunday in an Alva hospital after a long illness. She was born February 1, 1900 at Mangum, and had lived in Alva since 1949. She taught school in Texas, Beaver and Woods Counties for several years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Ladies Encampment of the Past Noble Grand and the Christian Church. She leaves a son, Jack McGee in Los Angeles, California, two stepsons, Bob Peters of Cherokee and James Peters of Pawhuska, a daughter, Mrs. Clifton Burhus and two step daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Graft of Hennington, Texas, and Mrs. Hallie Christianson of St. James, Minnesota, and three brothers, James Huston of Los Animas, Colorado, Luther Huston of Pueblo, Colorado, and Tom Huston of Gage, Colorado, nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
