Gift, Margaret Ann, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 2, 1933 in Dodge City, Kansas to Preston and Thelma (Pemberton) Scott.
In her earlier days, Margaret enjoyed playing tennis, bowling and hosting parties in her home. She also enjoyed embroidering, playing bingo, and traveling with her family and friends. Margaret loved decorating her home during the holidays and gardening with her late husband, Ivan. Because Ivan's career was in the military, Margaret lived in many different communities and was loving considered a “social bug” by her neighbors.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Danny W. Gift and wife Mary of Spring, TX and David L. Gift and wife Donna of Perryton, TX; one brother, Donald Scott and wife Cora Ann of Lawton, OK; one sister, Marilyn Zimmerman of Balko, OK; and two grandchildren, Michael Gift of Stillwater, OK and Corina Gift of Alva, OK. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Ivan James Gift, Ret.; her parents; and her brother, Charles Scott.
Graveside services will be held 9:00 A.M., Monday, August 8, 2011 in the Bethany Cemetery, Balko, Oklahoma.
