George Eugene Mills, a Wardville resident, was born on January 2, 1950, to George Edward and Velda Mae (Gipson) Mills, at Paragould, Arkansas. He passed away on December 17, 2025, at his home in Wardville, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 15 days. George graduated from East Peoria High School in Peoria, Illinois. He received Novell Advanced Training 1 & 2 at the American Institute, Chicago, IL; IBM Business Basic, Lotus 123 and MS-DOS at the Computer Terminal Inc, Peoria, IL; a certificate of achievement in Computer Operations Management at the Tulsa Junior College, Tulsa, OK; and his Associate's Degree in Applied Science Business Management at the Illinois Central College, East Peoria, IL. He began his working career as Programming/MIS Manager at Security Savings and Loan Association in Peoria, then worked as MIS Operations Manager and MIS Micro Systems Specialist at OSF Medical Center and OSF Corporate MIS in Peoria and later worked as IT Manager for Fort Transfer Company in Morton, IL. George performed aircraft maintenance and radio operations during his service in the United States Air National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing hymns on his guitar for his mother. George also enjoyed shopping online. He loved his animals.
