Funeral services for Ronnie Dale Tisdale, lifelong Stringtown area resident will be held Wednesday (today) March 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Dr. James Crowson officiating, assisted by Lloyd Thompson. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery with arrangements under he direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Atoka. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Atoka Memorial Hospital Foundation in honor of Ron Tisdale. Donations can be made at either bank or the hospital.

Ron was born on February 19, 1952 at Stringtown, OK and passed away March 7, 2010 at Atoka at the age of 58. He graduated from Stringtown School and received his degree in Accounting at Southeastern. Ron married Paula Lakey on July 6, 1983 at Durant. He owned Ron Tisdale CPA in Atoka. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountant and the American Society of CPA. Ron was a member of the Atoka County Chamber of Commerce, a member and former chairman of Atoka Memorial Hospital Board, a member of the Atoka Lions Club and a member of the McGee Creek Bass Club.

Survivors include his wife Paula of the home in Atoka; children, Scott Tisdale of Stringtown and Brad Tisdale and wife Brandy of Tushka, OK; mother, Lois Tisdale of Stringtown; brothers, Joe B. Tisdale and wife Margaret, Gene Tisdale and wife Diane all of Lake Dallas, TX and Jerry Paul Tisdale and wife Barbara of Bradenton, FL; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Joe Tisdale and daughter Deanna Tisdale.

Casketbearers will be Jason Williams, Chris Edgar, Steve Mansell, Jim Westbrook, Gary McDonald and Henry Ringels. Honorary bearers will be Don Barnard, J.B. Tisdale, Gene Tisdale, Randy Harris, David Burrage and Donald Boston.
