Services for Barbara June (Blackburn) Sundblom, a longtime resident Coalgate area resident, will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Stringtown Cemetery with Rev. James Williams officiating. Brown's Funeral Service of Atoka is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sundblom was born May 8, 1950 to John Wesley and Josie Anna (Holder) Blackburn at Oklahoma City, OK and passed away July 31, 2010 in Coalgate at the age of 60. She attended Durant Schools, was a homemaker and married Samuel Whiteman.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Whiteman; daughters Elizabeth Ann Alvarado and husband Hector of Waddell, AZ, Joely Kennemer of Oklahoma City, OK; Brothers Jerry Buchanan and wife Sherry of Durant, OK, Larry Buchanan and wife Sheila of Coalgate, OK, Stanley Buchanan of Coalgate, OK; grandchildren Hector A. Alvarado, Jermiah Alvarado, Emily Alvarado, Nicole Kennemer; nieces Ruth Anna LaCoss and husband Ron, Jennifer Pruitt and husband Terry; nephews Jerry Don Buchanan and wife Vivian, Paul Wayne Buchanan and wife Whitney and Edgar A. Buchanan; along with numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arnold Edward Sundblom; step father Edgar "Red" Buchanan; brother Eddie Wayne Buchanan; and sister Berry Jean Lucas-Finchum.
Casketbearers will be Hector Alvarado, Hector A. Alvarado, Paul Wayne Buchanan, Edgar A. Buchanan, Roger Heck, and John Miller. Honorary casketbearers will be Jeremiah Alvarado, Jerry Don Buchanan and terry Pruitt..
