Evert Dean Burleson

Evert Dean Burleson, age 90, a lifelong Stringtown/Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, November 13, 1934, to Mark and Maggie (Boston) Burleson, at Stringtown, OK. Evert passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Ada, OK.

He attended Stringtown Public School. Evert worked in maintenance for Fred Jones Management Company for over 40 years. He married Roberta (Sewell) on Friday, May 27th, 1955 at Atoka, OK. They have enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage before his passing. Evert attended Assembly of God in Atoka, OK. He enjoyed fishing, backroading, traveling, mowing, making home movies and loved his family, taking them to the lake and cooking for them.

Evert is survived by his wife, Roberta Burleson of the home in Stringtown, OK; son, Mike Burleson of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Scott Burleson of Moore, OK, Chad Burleson of Oklahoma City, OK; great granddaughters, Alexis Burleson of Shawnee, OK, Molly Burleson of Moore, OK; great great granddaughter, Piper King of Shawnee, OK; brother, Ray Burleson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Evert was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Maggie (Boston) Burleson; grandson, Jason Ryan Burleson; along with numerous brothers, sisters and a host of other family.
