Donna Kay Scott, age 78, a Durant, OK resident. She was born on Friday, December 19, 1947, to Raymond and Freida Elsoean (Dean) Waychoff, at Tulsa, OK. Donna passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Durant, OK. Donna graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1966 and then went to Beauty School. Donna worked various secretary jobs throughout her life, and spent many years as a secretary at McCloud Corrections Center where she eventually retired. Donna took classes at Southeastern University to become a certified sign language interpreter so she could better communicate with hearing impaired inmates.
'Donna was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Tulsa and she loved singing in the church choir and performing solo at the various churches she attended. She won many awards in High School for singing and sang at many gospel events throughout her life. Donna was very artistic and loved doing arts and crafts, sewing, as well as cutting and styling hair for her friends and family. She cherished her grandkids and loved spending time with them. She also loved her cats and called them her babies. Donna was very devoted in Faith and loved reading her bible and serving in the church, especially when it came to music ministry and Vacation Bible school. She was very outgoing and friendly and never met a stranger when she was out and about in the public.
Donna is survived by her son Dr. John Scott and his wife Kaci of Atoka, OK; daughter-in-law, Tena Scott of Atoka, OK; grandson, Dustin Eagleberger and wife Tamra of Atoka, OK, Jaxson Scott of Atoka, OK, Seven Scott of Atoka, OK, Kasen Scott of Atoka, OK; granddaughters, Christen Lee and husband Parker of Silo, OK, Hinson Millsap and husband Mason of Atoka, OK; Peyton Scott of Atoka, OK; great grand daughter, Harlow Lee; great grandson, Ross Lee; cousins Linda Gilliam of Tulsa and Patti Hutchteman of Tulsa and as well as many family and close friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Freida Elsoean Waychoff; son, Mickey Scott; grandson, Shane Scott.
