Linda Carol Jackson-Spradley, age 82, an Atoka, OK, resident. She was born on Wednesday, November 3, 1943, to L.C. and Edna (McGhee) Yandell, at Holdenville, OK. Linda passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Atoka, OK. She attended Forrest Hill in her younger years, then graduated from Atoka High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Linda worked in headstart when her children were young. She then spent many years working for Soil Conservation Service in McCurtain County. After her two kids were grown, she began teaching high school English. She taught briefly at Wright City, OK. She then moved with her husband back to their childhood home of Atoka, OK, to be near their grandkids. She retired from teaching English at Caney Public Schools. Linda was married to Maurice Jackson for 47 years until his death in 2007. She later married Terry Spradley in September of 2012 at New Zion Methodist Church.

Linda was a former member of New Zion Methodist Church of Atoka. She later attended Elk Avenue Church of Christ in Duncan, Ok. Linda dedicated many years of her life to education, working as a teacher and positively impacting the lives of countless students. She had a passion for learning and took great pride in her work as a teacher. Linda loved her family deeply and especially cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard. She loved piling brush and could manage a pair of clippers better than anyone. Linda enjoyed writing poetry and could often be found sitting on her perch that overlooked the Kiamichi Wilderness. The cabin that she and her family built was always held near & dear to her heart. Many treasured memories were made during camping, hunting, & fishing trips.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kim Dale and husband Dwayne of Atoka, OK; daughter-in-law, Darla Jackson of Atoka, OK; grandson, Andy Jackson of Springfield, MO; granddaughters, Kaylee Heck and husband Chase of Atoka, OK; Katelyn Hearrell Pate and husband Ty of Coalgate, OK; Lyndee Scott and husband Blake of Blocker, OK; great grandchildren, Darrien Standifer, Kamden Heck, Krimsyn Heck, Beau Hearrell Pate, Kyler Heck, Kallaway Heck, Drew Scott, Colt Scott, Sha Hearrell Pate, and one more on the way; sisters, Mary "Snookie" Campbell and husband Ron of Albuquerque, NM; Bonnie Hogan and husband Harvey of Bentley, OK; brothers, John Hauff of Atoka, OK; David Hauff and wife Cindy of Atoka, OK; brother-in-law, Gerald Jackson of Prue, OK; uncle, Kenneth "Toody" Yandell of Durant, OK; husband, Terry Spradley. She is also survived by many extended family loved ones and dear friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Jackson; son, Jeff Jackson; father, L.C. Yandell; mother, Edna Hauff; step father, Bill Hauff; brother, Tony Hauff. ******************************************************************************
