Johnny Ray Walton, age 75, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, March 18, 1950, to Lonnie and Lillian (Mayes) Walton, at Crystal, OK. Johnny passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Durant, OK. He graduated from Atoka High School with the Class of 1969. Johnny worked in Paint & Body at Donnie's Body Shop, Southwest Tractor, and many other places. He married Sharon Lee at the preacher's house, Cad Bingham. Johnny was baptized at Full Gospel Church and was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed working on his trucks, driving his ole red Chevy truck around burning gas, sitting in the car wash, deer hunting, shooting guns, fishing, pestering the people he loved, watching westerns and most of all playing with his great grandbabies and spoiling them.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Walton of the home in Atoka, OK; daughters, Kimberly Elliott and husband Dwyane of Atoka, OK, Lisa Cooksey and husband Dean of Atoka, OK; grandson, Weston Cooksey and wife Kimberly of Atoka, OK; special granddaughter, Rayle Elliott and Brett Goff of Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Braelynn Grace Cooksey, Brixton Lane Cooksey, Cross Kaleb Cooksey, Casey Koe Cooksey; sisters, June Littleton and husband Gary of Caney, OK, Janis Allen of Tushka, OK; brother, Bim Walton and wife Donna of Tushka, OK.
Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Lillian (Mayes) Walton; mother and father in law, Johnnie and Shirley Lee; grandson, Kaleb Lane Cooksey; sister, Jerry Ann Allen; brother in law, Pap Allen.
