Carl Wayne Turner

Carl Wayne Turner, age 88, a Justin, TX resident, formerly of Lane, OK.

He was born on Saturday, April 24, 1937, to Houston Ernest and Alice Myrtice (Cruse) Turner, at Clebit, OK. Carl passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Keller, TX. He attended school in Burkburnett, TX. Carl's career spanned over 40 years where he worked in theatrical, stage and theater management up till retirement in 1996. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He married Anna Lee (Goodson) on Friday, September 18th, 1964, at Wichita Falls, TX. They celebrated almost 44 years of marriage before her passing on September 16, 2008. Carl was a member of the Lane Church of Christ while living in Oklahoma; after moving to Texas, he attended Justin Church of Christ. Carl's favorite baseball team was the Houston Astros. When baseball was not in season, he would enjoy any good NFL football game, but his sports favorite was the Astros. He loved to tell stories to family, friends, and strangers if they were in earshot, about his time in the Navy and his years in the motion picture business.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Trish Usey and husband Kirk of Texas; granddaughters, Emily Usey and fiance' Zack of Texas, Madeline Usey of Texas; sisters, Carol of Texas, Polly of Texas; best friend, Sheron of Texas; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Alice Turner; wife, Anna Lee Turner; brother, Dwayne Turner; sisters, Norma Jean, Faye, Dorothy.
