Danny Roy Hamilton, 62, of Wardville, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a 25 day battle with complications from a brain aneurysm.

The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Bishop Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Kiowa High School Auditorium with Bro. Joey Landsdale, Rev. Marty Brock, and Pastor Rob Pierce officiating.

Interment will be at Green Meadows Cemetery in Atoka. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.

Born April 13, 1951 in McAlester, Oklahoma the son of James Mack and Polly (Harrington) Hamilton. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1969. He received an associate's degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1971. He lived in the Kiowa area his whole life.

Danny was married to Patricia Ann Smith on July 3, 1971 in Kiowa. He rodeoed professionally for many years and was the 1981 IRA World Champion Calf Roper. He was a roping stock producer for over 20 years, furnishing cattle for many youth, amateur, and professional rodeo associations across the United States.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann Hamilton of the home; sons: Bradley Hamilton and wife, Tina of Bache, Billy Lee Hamilton and wife, Tommie Marie of Bache; grandson: Wayton Wayne Hamilton of Bache; mother: Polly Hamilton of McAlester; brother: Bill Hamilton of McAlester; sister: Susi Jeffries of McAlester; mother-in-law: Virginia Smith of Stringtown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: James Mack Hamilton.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hodge, Terry Butler, Chris Neal, Budge Herbert, Scott Bush, and Steve Brewer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hensley, Leon McClendon, Ralph McClendon, Charlie Rowland, Rick Neal, Barry Burk, Dr. Paul LeDoux, Sonny Luman, Nicky Beal, Don Wayne Smith, Chris Edgar, Roger Hatridge, Jack Foreman, Kelly Hardman, Tuff Hardman, Steve Brewer, Butch Stewart, Jody Wood, Matt Wilson, Wade Matheson, Clark McEntire, Samuel Luchsinger, and Johnny Oswalt.
