CONNIE SUE (COCHRAN) GRAVES


Pauls Valley resident Connie Sue (Cochran) Graves died Wednesday in Calvin, Okla., in an automobile accident. The former Macomb teacher was 36 years, 11 months and 25 days old.
She was born Dec. 27, 1962, in Atoka to Oren and Uelala Cochran.
She married Troy Dean Graves Aug. 30, 1985, in Atoka.
She graduated from Atoka High School in 1981 and from East Central University, Ada, in 1985. She finished her graduate work at ECU and received her degree in administration this year.
She started her teaching career at Byars and later taught at Macomb. She was elementary principal at Joy, which is south of Wynnewood.
She was a longtime member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, West Sixth Street, Atoka. She was an active member at the Masters House Pentecostal Holiness Church at Stratford. She and her husband were pastors at the Christian Life Center at Pauls Valley.
Survivors include her son, Luke; parents, Uelala and Oren Cochran, Atoka; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Renae Cochran, Ada; niece, Hannah Cochran, Ada; mother-in-law, Evelyn Graves, Henryetta; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Graves, and father-in-law, the Rev. Leroy Graves.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Christian Life Center in Pauls Valley and 3 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Atoka with the Rev. Frank Trent officiating and the Rev. Jim Eby assisting. Burial will be in Green Meadows Cemetery, Atoka, under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Christian Life Center in Pauls Valley. Visitation also took place 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Brown's in Atoka.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Life Center.
