Mark Dale Cain, 56 passed away December 13th in Atoka Oklahoma. Mark was born to Louise (Hight) Cain and Glenn Dale Jones on September 6, 1969. He was later adopted by Foster Cain and grew up in Atoka. Mark's ambitions were evident from an early age. He idolized bull riders both locally and nationally and confidently proclaimed to his parents that he was going to be a bull rider. He started actively training at age 14 and worked tirelessly towards his dream. His first year on the circuit he was PBR Rookie of the Year 1989. He went on to win national and state wide titles. In 1991, he scored a remarkable 96 point ride on the infamous "Wolfman" in what is still a frequently viewed ride. He was later the inaugural World Champion of the "Bull Riders" Only, World Championship. Mark enjoyed touring through the United States throughout his professional career. Known for his fearless riding, cheeky smile, and warm kindness to fans, he was consistently personable and loquacious everywhere he went and to everyone he met. Mark also enjoyed the fellowship of bull riding and was proud to be a founding member of the Professional Bull Rider's Association in 1992. He was proud to be sponsored by Mo Betta throughout his rodeo career. Besides for his bull riding success, Mark's career also extended onto the silver screen with his work in the 1994 classic 8 Seconds and he was an active member of the Screen Actor's Guild. After his retirement from the rodeo circuit, Mark continued to be involved with rodeo as a touring judge as well as enjoying a career as an auctioneer and rancher and was a proud member of the Cattleman's Association. He remained involved in his community and was a long-time member of the Shriners as well as active at Masonic Lodge #4 as a 33rd degree Master Mason. Mark was married to Linda Marie (Jacobs) Cain in 2007 and they made their home in Atoka Oklahoma. Mark was a deeply religious man and a believer in Christ. He was never afraid to share his faith. He was also not afraid to personally sacrifice his time and his health to help those that he loved. Mark was a devoted son and spent much of the last year of his life caring for his mother during her final illness.
